Your Solutions to After Christmas Storage

After Christmas Storage

Holiday Organization Hacks

After picking up the piles of wrapping paper and cleaning the dishes, the last thing you want to do is deal with all the Christmas decorations. Feeling overwhelmed might start to feel all too familiar. This year ease the stress and try some of these simple storage hacks.

1. The large egg carton

Egg cartons make the storage process even easier than the box the ornaments came packaged in. The fragile decorations will make it through another year with ease. Save your next dozen and the great cushioning will save the day.

2. Wrap your lights

Save some cardboard from a gift box to make things even easier for you next year. Be sure to make a slit near the edge to lock the end of the cord in. Just start wrapping and get back to your life in no time. If you feel like being an overachiever, label whether they are house, tree, or outside lights.

3. Maybe don’t take apart the tree

Pack Christmas Tree

If you use an artificial tree, you may want to rethink taking it apart and shoving it in a box that is slowly falling apart. If you have the room to spare, you can grab a large trash bag or purchase a bag that are made for this purpose. This will also keep away dust and debris and you won’t have to figure out how to put it back together again next year.

Give these hacks a try and next year you will thank yourself.
