The Lion’s Den Barbershop is Expanding
By: Sarah Cole
Kevin Harris, owner-operator of The Lion’s Den Barbershop, said business is so good he is thrilled to announce he’s expanding and adding on two more stations.
The Lion’s Den Barbershop offers a variety of services including fades, hot towel shaves, eyebrows, afros and designs. We have four brilliant and skilled barbers for customers to pick from, Harris said. “Jaron, Wendel, Lyndon and I pride ourselves on our quality,” he added, “our prices are very comparable to other barbershops in the area, but we give you so much more for your money.”
Harris started cutting hair in 1996. “My mom didn’t have extra money to take us to the barber,” he said. “But I still wanted to look sharp so I learned to cut my hair. Then I started cutting my little brother’s hair. The next thing I knew my family and friends were asking me to do their hair too.”
After doing his family and friend’s hair for several years he decided to go to school. Harris said, “I had to relocate and find a new job, that’s when I decided it was time to go to school for something I love doing.”
Harris went to a barber college in Jacksonville, FL., and received his barber’s license in 2013.
Harris said when he moved to Burleson he realized there weren’t many barbershops here. “I looked for a great location for over a year before I found this location and I was so excited to find this place.” He said. Harris moved into the Hidden Creek Business Center in June of 2019.
“We want people to get the full experience of coming to the barber,” said Harris. “It’s not just a haircut; we give you the personal attention you deserve.”
